Children’s Center Director
ELIZABETH WELLER
Elizabeth grew up in Rochester, MN, home of the world-famous Mayo Clinic. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Oklahoma Wesleyan University where she met her husband. After doing ministry in upstate New York for four years, she and her family landed in Anderson, IN. Becoming a parent made her realize that she loved early childhood, so she began teaching 2-year-olds here at Park Place Children’s Center. After teaching here for five years, she became the director of the center in March of 2019. Her two children also attended Park Place Children’s Center. In January 2021, she and her family launched a “Dinner Church” plant. In July 2024 she graduated from Ball State University by completing Masters in Elementary Education with a concentration in early childhood. Elizabeth is known to always have a song stuck in her head and be able to name a tune for almost any topic. In the kitchen she is best known for her baked potato soup, steak kabobs, and old-fashioned apple pie.
